Building and Site Committee Meeting

The Building and Site Committee will be having a meeting on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 2:30 P.M. This meeting will be held at the Board of Education building at 20629 Annapolis.

One Book, One School, One Community

March is Reading Month. Polk Elementary School begins Reading Month with an Exciting Event. ALL of the students will receive the book "The One and Only Ivan" and everyone, Students and Staff, will read the book together. Meal Distribution Update for Virtual Learners in District 7 and March Menu

We will be closed on Friday, March 5th. You will receive 5 days of meals on
Wednesday, March 3rd, and normal service will resume on Monday, March 8th.
Pickup times are still from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Please call Christopher Simpson at 313-203-3197 with any questions.
For our face to face to students, we will not be providing weekend meals to take
home on Tuesday, March 2nd. We encourage any family to come to OW Best on
March 3rd for meal pickup for the 5-day period. OW Best is located at 22201 Powers Ave, Dearborn Heights, MI 48125

FREE Library Activity Boxes!!

The registration deadline has been extended to March 7th! Register today to receive a FREE activity box from the library in March.

Polk's Read-a-thon

On March 1st Polk kicks off its Read-a-Thon Fundraiser. Students and families can win some great prizes. The funds raised will support FUN classroom activities and an outdoor Festive Fun Family Night in May for ALL students and their families. Thank you for your support!

Calendar Change

Please mark your calendar to reflect that March 3rd, 4th and 5th will be VIRTUAL days for ALL District 7 students. March 5th was already scheduled as a deep cleaning day. March 3rd and 4th are being added as virtual days to accommodate our staff receiving their 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
