One Book, One School, One Community

March is Reading Month. Polk Elementary School begins Reading Month with an Exciting Event. ALL of the students will receive the book "The One and Only Ivan" and everyone, Students and Staff, will read the book together. Polk Elementary School Read-A-Thon: Everyone is Wild About Reading!

We’re getting closer to the final days of the Polk Elementary School Read-A-Thon! Take a peek at the Classroom Leaderboard to see how your child’s class stacks up with others and if they’re going to reach their classroom goal. There is still time to help them get to the top so all students in the class receive an Ice Cream Party with Whiskers. Learn how to register and win lots of other prizes too.

FREE Library Activity Boxes!!

The registration deadline has been extended to March 7th! Register today to receive a FREE activity box from the library in March.

Polk's Read-a-thon

On March 1st Polk kicks off its Read-a-Thon Fundraiser. Students and families can win some great prizes. The funds raised will support FUN classroom activities and an outdoor Festive Fun Family Night in May for ALL students and their families. Thank you for your support!

Calendar Change

Please mark your calendar to reflect that March 3rd, 4th and 5th will be VIRTUAL days for ALL District 7 students. March 5th was already scheduled as a deep cleaning day. March 3rd and 4th are being added as virtual days to accommodate our staff receiving their 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Polk Picture Day is Friday February 19th

Face to Face students 8-11:30 am.
Virtual students by appt 12-3:00 pm. Students must wear a mask to enter the building through the Main Entrance. We will take student temperatures and sanitize hands.
