Dear Polk Families,
Without a doubt the weather has been challenging the past couple of weeks. Recent bouts of inclement weather have delayed the construction of Polk’s North parking lot. The new date of completion is around September 15th. As we begin the new school year without the use of the parking lot, I am asking parents to park their cars in the neighborhood and/or walk with their children to school.
The South parking lot is small and will fill up quickly. While this is inconvenient, it is temporary. Please plan to leave for school with plenty of time to spare. Doing so will reduce stress and allow everyone to enjoy the first days of school. I thank you in advance for looking out for one another. Remember, to watch out for children crossing the street and let’s all do what we can to make certain we have no accidents. SAFETY FIRST!
